Born and raised in Istanbul, Nazli was the valedictorian of her high school Uskudar American Academy. She graduated from Princeton University in 2012 where she studied economics and global health and health policy. After graduation, she moved to New York City and worked at the Dr. Oz Show as a medical researcher and health writer, and won an Emmy Recognition Certificate for her work in Season 4.

Following her younger sister's footsteps, Nazli got accepted to Columbia University's School of Journalism and got her master's in health and science journalism as a Robert Wood Johnson Fellow. Freezing on the east coast, she decided to get her PhD degree in California, and got admitted to USC's Annenberg School of Journalism and Communication as a health communication student.

Naz is now a lecturer and PhD Candidate in her 5th year, loving every bit of her sunny life in Los Angeles. She thinks she was brainwashed by the O.C. as a teen, but she is not complaining about it. Nazli is currently working with pregnant women and exploring the information sources they use while making childbirth related decisions, while teaching her own classes to USC undergraduates. Besides working as a women's health scholar and health journalist, Nazli is also the co-founder of Senyuva Prep, a career counseling service for students and young professionals who want to work or study abroad.

Naz loves her matcha iced with almond milk, frequents Yoga Collective, is constantly booking plane tickets to see her family across the globe, and currently Birding around Venice with her fiancé Reid. Join her for awesome insights on pregnancy and childbirth, career tricks, and a little bit of guilt-free mischief.
